Comtec surpasses one million booked online
Leisure travel technology supplier Comtec has reported that its online travel systems have now processed bookings for over one million passengers on behalf of its travel agency customers.
It also indicated that online bookings processed continues to show rapid growth with the volume of bookings processed via its travel agency customers in February 2008 growing by 47% compared with February 2007.
The software supplier provides white-label and bespoke e-commerce services to travel agents of all sizes including Thomas Cook, Expedia, TUI Travel, Travelcare as well as independent agents.
The growth in online activity also includes even sharper growth in the volume of consumer interactions via Comtec’s self-service administration module, which provides consumers with online access to their booking information, documentation and payment services. Here, interactions increased by 89% in February 2008 v. February 2007.
