Comtec Appoints Director Of Product And Technology

Comtec, the travel technology company, has announced that Humphrey Sheil is to lead the product management team responsible for the integrated functional and technical strategy of the company's travel platform.

Since joining the company in 2006 as Chief Technology Officer, Humphrey has played a pivotal role in the US expansion as well as launching the Comtec Travel Gateway. Humphrey also joins the Comtec board as part of the move.

Commenting on the move, Comtec CEO Simon Powell said "2007 has witnessed continued growth for Comtec, led by our expansion into North America as well as significant new business wins in the UK and Europe. Humphrey and his team will guide our strategy in these markets moving forward, ensuring that the Comtec Travel Platform maintains its position as the leading integrated leisure travel platform in the industry".

With a background specialising in enterprise architecture and integration software in the US and Europe, Humphrey holds a M.Sc. and B.Sc. (First Class Honours) in Computer Science from University College Dublin, Ireland.
