Comtec enhances its TravelCat Agency Management System

Leisure travel technology supplier, Comtec, has completed several enhancements to its market-leading TravelCat Agency Management System which, it says, reflect emerging consumer booking patterns and communication requirements.

The range of new developments includes electronic communications features such as SMS Messaging and automated email facilities for customer documentation. Along with integration of TravelCat with its Travelink dynamic packaging platform to support agents looking to combine flexible travel selling with automated administration and reporting tools.

Comtec say that the changes reflect requirements expressed by its travel agent customers who are seeking more efficient ways to manage customer bookings and communications. It says it will also shortly complete work on a new user-presentation layer for TravelCat, known as TravelCatPlus, which will deliver a new web-based front-end which, Comtec claims, will make management of the booking process more intuitive and user-friendly.

According to Comtec, its TravelCat system is the UK market-leader deployed to over 15,000 licensed users in the UK; including leading travel retailers such as Going Places, Thomas Cook, First Choice, Hays Travel and Travel Counsellors.
